Welcome to Midlife Rovers, we are Jay and Alana, two midlifers enjoying the freedom of an empty nest, share our passion for truck overlanding, travel, building projects, photography, and hiking. As we embrace life's adventures, we invite you to join us on our journey..
Why We Started Midlife Rovers
Our journey began with a simple desire – to inspire our fellow midlifers to embrace the freedom that comes with this stage of life. Through our travels, overlanding escapades, and hiking expeditions, we aim to show that age is no barrier to exploration. It's a call to action: Get out there and savor life while you still can!
Where We Call Home
We currently live in SW Ohio. So, depending on who you ask, we could be Midwesteners, Easteners, Appalachians, or Great Lakers. In reality, we traverse the map, exploring new destinations and creating memories along the way. So, we defy regional labels.
Beyond Blogging & Vlogging
When we're not chronicling our adventures, Jay is working in his full-time job. But our downtime is filled with tinkering and creating, indulging in stained glass, wood burning, welding, and painting – expressions of our shared love for the creative arts.
Current Obsessions
We become bootleggers on travels due to our current obsessions: bourbon and whiskey. (You never know what another state has available, LOL!) However, life is too short to limit our passions and we could be into anything at any time.
Our Quirks
Our 'All in or all out' personalities have gifted us a diverse array of knowledge and experiences. It's a quality that not only defines us but also makes us formidable opponents in trivia games. (And if Jay doesn't know the answer, he can certainly sell you on the idea that he does!
